Frequently asked questions for users
1. Which devices can I access the content from?
You can enjoy digital content through the browser from your computer or from mobile devices or tablets through the app.
2. How do I access the library through mobile devices?
If your library has a mobile app download option, you will find direct download buttons at the bottom of the digital library.
Download the application to access from smartphone or tablet. From the App you can enjoy the content without an internet connection.
To access your content without an Internet connection, follow these steps:
- Access the App and go to the section “Bookshelf” (button located at the bottom of your screen)
- Download resources for offline use by clicking the download arrow
in the lower right corner.
- This icon
will let you know that the content is ready to be used offline.
Important: To browse the catalog and access content for the first time, as well as to download selected resources, internet connection is required.
3. Can I access a resource from more than one device?
Yes. It is possible to use up to 6 devices with the same account. These can be computers or mobile devices (if your library has the app download option).
4. Can I return the resources early?
Yes. Additionally, the resources are automatically returned when the loan period ends.
Important: If it is a resource downloaded in Adobe Digital Editions, it must be returned manually from the same application, on the computer where it was downloaded.
5. Can I renew my loan?
Absolutely. The option “Renew” will be activated 3 days before the expiration date of your loan.
Important: Loans can be renewed as long as there is no reservation by other users. If this is the case, you will need to re-lend the content once it is available again.
6. Are there late fees for returning resources?
Never! The content will be returned automatically once the loan days have passed.
7. Can I print the eBook pages or print my bookmarks?
Due to copyright, there is no option to print the content. But you can always enjoy an offline version through the app.
8. If I have a technical problem, where can I contact support?
If you encounter any issues with the content, you’ll find the option to report a problem within its file. Additionally, you can always reach out to the person responsible for the digital library for guidance on the steps to follow.
9. How can I suggest a resource that does not appear in my digital library?
You can go to the User Area and then go to “Content Suggestions” to add those resources that do not appear in the catalog (these suggestions must go through a review process before being accepted).
10. Where do I find the Clubs I am participating in?
From your user area, click “Learning Experiences” o “Book club”.
11. What does the “Holds” option mean?
If when accessing a title you get the option “Holds”, means that all copies are lent by other users. You would have to click on the button and wait until the platform notifies you of its availability.
If you wish to renew an active loan and indicate “Reservation”, you must reserve your renewal to access the content again.
12. I have downloaded the loaned ebook to my computer and I do not have Adobe Digital Editions installed. How can I access the resource?
In order to access the resource you would have to follow the Adobe Digital Editions download instructions that appear in the “First steps” section: “Read with your e-reader.”
12.1. How can I return the resource if I have downloaded it for my e-reader?
To return a resource that has been downloaded from your digital library, it will depend on whether:

- The file downloaded to your computer was not opened.
If the file was not opened on your computer, your library will display the “Return” button in your lending area and you will be able to immediately return the content. - The file was opened (or attempted to be opened) from the computerIf you tried to open the file from your computer with programs which aren’t Adobe Digital Editions (such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, etc.), the digital library will block access to that file to avoid Copyright.This means that you will be able to follow one of these options:
- Download the ADE application and download the file again.
- Wait for the return date so that the return is made automatically.
- Contact the person in charge of your Digital Library.
- The file downloaded to your computer was not opened.
